Founded in August of 2006 by Larissa Wright-Elson, FarNorth Babywearing is a group whose goal is to educate, advocate and support babywearing in Alaska. We are currently working on affiliation with Babywearing International.

Parents, babies, toddlers, and caregivers are welcome to join us at our monthly meetings. Please bring any carriers that you need wearing advice on to any of our meetings.

Our current group leaders are Larissa Wright-Elson, Heather Diemer, and Chelsie K.

We meet once a month at the Providence Hospital maternity education center, also known as the Cuddlers room. This is building #6 on the Providence campus. Our meetings begin at 6:30 P.M. though a leader will be available at 6 to help new parents – please see the calendar for details.
